To the Editor:

I am writing this from Dehli, India, which currently has the fourth worse air quality of any city on the planet. Astronauts can see a thick blanket covering the city from outer space. You know you are driving over bridges but can’t see the water below. Memorial arches perhaps a football field away are just vague outlines in the smog.
