LADYSMITH — Indianhead Community Action Agency, Inc. (ICAA) is excited to announce their receipt of funding from Bader Philanthropy, Delta Dental and Compeer Financial to provide supplemental nutrition to area seniors. Funds received will allow ICAA to support area seniors’ healthy aging by providing fresh organic produce and non-perishable items each month. ICAA, Cattails Organics, Aging & Disability centers of Clark, Rusk, Northwest Wisconsin and Washburn County, Taylor County Commission on Aging, and the Senior Center of the North have partnered together on this project to support 450 seniors with access to supplemental nutrition.
ICAA’s CEO Jennifer Shearer said, “We are thankful for the generosity of these amazing funders and without them, we could not provide the much-needed nutrition many of our aging populations go without. We certainly could not provide this service either without the partnerships with Cattails Organics, ADRC of Clark, Rusk and Northwest Wisconsin and the Taylor County Commission on Aging. They are a fantastic group of folks who care deeply for our seniors in rural northern Wisconsin.”
