Indigo Hippo to Host Sustainable Art Experience and Fundraiser This December

This December, Over-the-Rhine art supply thrift store Indigo Hippo is hosting a night of creativity, sustainable art, music and community with its second-annual ReMADE fundraiser.

ReMADE: A Sustainable Art Experience is both a fundraiser and open gallery event that will aid Indigo Hippo in its mission to broaden arts accessibility, reduce waste and inspire possibility through creative reuse, as well as highlight talented artists throughout Cincinnati. The event is happening Wednesday, Dec. 4 from 6-9 p.m. at Woodward Theater in Over-the-Rhine.

Attendees can expect unique, artist-led experiences, a variety of silent auction opportunities and a gallery show by local artists. The show is open-call and Indigo Hippo says creatives of all mediums and skill levels are invited to participate; the deadline to submit work is Wednesday, Nov. 27. Artists can learn more and complete the submission form here.

In true Indigo Hippo fashion, ReMADE tickets are pay-what-you-can and can be purchased online at cincyticket.com or at the door. Early Bird pricing is $19 and is available from now until Nov. 27. All proceeds will go toward Indigo Hippo’s mission of sustainability, art accessibility and elevating local creatives.

If you can’t make it to the event but would still like to support Indigo Hippo, the shop is launching its year-end fundraising campaign Monday, Dec. 2 as part of Cincinnati Magazine’s Cincinnati Gives Challenge. Donations can be made here through Friday, Dec. 20.

Indigo Hippo is located at 1334 Main St., Over-the-Rhine. Learn more here.
