FARMINGTON — Facing Weaver for a fourth time this season with a D-IV state championship appearance on the line, the Innovation Ravens downed their fellow Capital Region Athletic League opponent for a fourth time this season.
Led by junior Ibrahim Sidik (18 points, 19 rebounds), senior Amari Cruz (21 points), and senior Jamal Kulaib (17 points, 5 rebounds, 5 assists), Innovation earned a 83-59 win over the Weaver Beavers in the semifinals round of the D-IV state tournament on Tuesday evening, at Farmington High School. Weaver’s leading scorer was sophomore Jakai Perry and senior Madden Cupe added 13 in the loss.
