On May 12, footage released by the Pasadena Police Department in California showed the horrifying crash that killed multiple people.
Around 2:30 am a Model 3 Tesla was shown going 100 miles an hour going through Foothill Boulevard.
The vehicle ran a red light and almost collided into another vehicle passing by.
The car hit a curb and began careening off the road.
Once the car lost control, it hit a street light causing it to launch into the air.
The footage showed the car hitting powerlines as it flew into a vacant building.
Prior to the crash, one neighbor revealed they heard the victims playing loud music in their car.
“He heard the sound like maybe they’re kids looking for a place to party, or partying in their car or something,” Geraldine Keams said to local CW affiliate KTLA.
“And it was very heartfelt for us to hear especially that these were young people with their whole lives ahead of them… and for such a tragedy to happen.”
Those in the neighborhood saw firsthand how horrific the scene was.
