Rakul Preet Singh, who is currently making headlines for her dreamy wedding with actor, film producer and long-time boyfriend Jackky Bhagnani is all the rage on social media. The De De Pyaar De actress has an estimated net worth of Rs 49 crore and a luxurious 16,000 square feet 3 BHK house in Hyderabad worth Rs 3 crore, along with properties in Mumbai, Delhi and Vizag.
The actress, who has previously made a mark in the South Indian film industry, mainly in Tamil and Telugu films made her debut in Bollywood by appearing in the 2014 film Yaariyaan and hasn’t looked back ever since. In 2019, before the COVID-19 pandemic, Singh bought an apartment in Bandra, Mumbai with magnificent interior designs and a cosy space with a touch of natural elements.
In an interview with a publication, Rakul stated that she was earlier unsure about the duration of her stay in Mumbai after coming to the city to shoot for De De Pyaar De, but soon realised she would need a space for the long run and hence bought the place she now happily calls home.
A perfect blend of opulence and comfort, one look at the interior is enough to determine the actress’ exquisite taste and preferences. From marble flooring to elegant mirrors across the room and vibrant furniture settings, her living room is a sight to behold.
An enviable balcony to die for, the hardwood flooring paired with pastel walls and colourful paintings is the perfect spot to hang out solo or with others after a long day. She often uses the space for a quick workout apart from relaxing. The balcony, with its magnificent wooden floors, serves as a personal retreat where she can relax and reconnect with nature. Surrounded by potted plants and flowers, she rests to the calming sounds of rustling leaves and chirping birds. Here, she unwinds after a long day by breathing in fresh air and taking in the beauty of her surroundings.
She also talked about her decision to coat the walls pastel in the interview where she said, “The house has to be roomy with lots of open space. Soft pastel is my go-to colour palette. I want my home to be a calming space that can help me feel relaxed the moment I walk in. Also, I need to maintain a certain fluidity of thought in the decor scheme. Even if it’s a painting, it won’t be something too jarring. Everything has to merge into [everything else] seamlessly. Lots of greenery is another must. The balcony is my favourite corner of the house. I love sitting there and reading, without any disturbances.”
Rakul has created an idyllic paradise within her house. Her rooftop garden is a colourful haven that reflects her love of nature. She finds refuge and some much-needed time away from the city’s hustle and bustle.
The actress prefers a minimalist aesthetic for her bedroom which influences her colour selection along with the overall look of her house. She prefers basic yet elegant furnishings and decorations, with clean, practical designs. This not only produces a relaxing environment but also shows her sophisticated taste and preference for minimalism.
Paying close attention to the smallest details when decorating, she ensures that each piece serves a purpose and adds to the overall ambience of the area. She adds depth to her room by including various textures and materials such as wood, glass, and metal that do not make it feel cluttered.
Overall, Rakul’s home displays her refined taste and effort to create a beautiful but functional living space, making it the ideal space for those wishing to create a paradise of their own amidst the bustling city.
