Irish Grinstead, 43, died. She was a part of the American girl group 702, which had hits like “Where My Girls At.”

Lemisha Grinstead, who is also in the group and is Irish’s sister, said that the sad news was true on Saturday.

Lemisha wrote a touching post on Instagram about her sister, who had died.

She wrote, “It is with great sadness that I have to let you know that my beautiful sister and friend has passed away this evening.”

Lemisha has talked about the good times she had with Irish before he died, but she hasn’t said what killed him.

“She has had a long battle and she is finally at peace. That girl was as bright as the stars! She was not only beautiful on the outside, but also within.”

“Sharing the stage with her was a joy I will cherish for the rest of my life!”

A friend of the late artist asked her fans and well-wishers to pray for her.

Lemisha summed up by saying, “We, the family ask for prayers and respect for our privacy as we grieve an outstanding loss to our family.”

The Grinstead sisters and Kameelah Williams were the only women in the group.

The record No Doubt, which came out in 1996, was their first step into the music business.

Steelo, one of the singles on the record, was also the theme song for the Nickelodeon TV show Cousin Skeeter.

In 1999, the group’s second album, 702, came out. It had the hit song “Where My Girls At” on it.

During their singing career, the girl group was nominated for an American Music Award, a BET Award, and several Soul Train Lady of Soul Awards.
