Issa is thankful for all these opportunities.
“I think fashion for me is expression,” Issa told PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) in an exclusive interview at local launch of H&M and Rabanne’s collection on November 6, 2023, in Makati City.
She continued, “And if I’m able to express that, and I’m able to connect to other people through that, it feels like art that is shared from me to you and from me to others, so it’s a great feeling.”
When asked about her present “fashion era,” Issa said her style is constantly evolving, and is influenced by her mood.
“I’ve probably been bouncing from one year to the other because I’m ever-changing.
“I think I matched in a lot with my mood, where, like, I wanna wear something more ’90s, something more new, something more futuristic.
“Like it really depends on like what I feel in the day.”
Issa noted that she doesn’t actively keep up with trends. Instead, she goes with the flow and imparts her unique touch once the trend has faded.
“I always do something that’s past the trend. So whenever, like, it’s uso, I don’t really ride on it.
“I go on it after and then I add my touch and then I mix some… I mix a part of me.”
ISSA PRESSMAN: PROJECTS
PEP.ph also asked Issa about her career plans beyond fashion.
The Careless Music talent revealed that she is looking forward to releasing new song.
“Maybe summer next year, but that’s gonna be a surprise,” she said.
Issa went on to share that she has been actively working on her music, although she had to take a brief pause following her cyst-removal surgery earlier this year.
She told PEP.ph, “I’ve been working I’ve been writing songs, I’ve been making demos, and then due to the operation, I had to put it on a pause.
“But then, music has always been part of me, but [I’m] releasing something next year!”

What can listeners expect from her music?
Issa answered, “It’s gonna be different. Let’s just say, like, expect something dance-y, expect something with drums, on-the-floor type of thing, but everything else will be a surprise.”
And what about returning to acting?
“No,” Issa informed PEP.ph.
She elaborated, “It was something that I’ve already done before growing up.
NOOD KA MUNA!
“I started when I was 3 and then I was doing acting until I was like 22.
“But then maybe right now, not really. I’ll let my sister do that.”
