Students from Washington Elementary, PCCS, Grace Lutheran, Edahow Elementary, and local homeschool groups attended the shows, experiencing the magic of live theatre.

Performances took place at 9:30 a.m. on both days, with 398 students attending Tuesday and 337 on Wednesday. The event highlighted the School of Performing Arts’ dedication to fostering a love for the arts in the community.

“As the Promotions Director and Business Manager of the ISU School of Performing Arts, I am thrilled to have welcomed students from Pocatello for our special matinee of The Little Prince,” Meg Holmes says. “Witnessing the wonder and excitement in their eyes as they experienced the magic of live theatre reminds us why we are passionate about sharing our art with the community. A heartfelt thank you to all the teachers, parents, and bus drivers who made this possible. Your support is invaluable! We can’t wait to welcome these marvelous young audience members back for future performances!”

Looking ahead, Holmes expressed excitement for the next set of student matinees: “The excitement of the young audiences was palpable, and their engagement reaffirmed our commitment to sharing the joys of live theatre with the community. We look forward to our next student matinees in April, featuring The Lightning Thief: The Percy Jackson Musical, and can’t wait to inspire another generation of theatre lovers!”
