“It just feels like a violation, upsetting,” Medina said.
SAN ANTONIO — Grey Moon Vintage off of Broadway reported a recent burglary in which the owners say thousands of dollars worth of merchandise was stolen.
The owners Colin Bass and Natalie Medina said it happened overnight Halloween. Different camera angles caught the person they said is behind the theft.
In one video, you see the alleged thief notice a camera and push it away. Bass said the burglar on a bike showed up to their vintage shop and busted his way in through a back window of the trailer.
“It just feels like a violation, upsetting,” Medina said.
Bass said by the looks of the cameras, it looks like the person was inside for about 10 minutes.
“Kind of disarray, broken mirror,” Bass said. “Stole a lot jewelry.”
The two said several rings were stolen from a local artist of SachsJewelry.
“Her jewelry is stamped in the inside with her name Sachs,” Medina said. “We think he probably stole about 30 of her rings some of them are sterling or made of bronze.”
They also said accessories, clothing and bags were taken too. The couple is still adding it up, but estimates several thousand dollars worth of items were taken.
“It is heartbreaking,” Medina said. “It is one of the biggest fears you have as a small business owner, especially one with a brick and mortar business, us in a trailer.”
The owners said the thief left behind a tool that could have been used to break in. San Antonio police are looking into the matter saying this is still an active investigation.
