A Kansas City mother of seven needs help to track down her stolen van. Thieves took off with it early on Sunday morning. Adrienne Blanford said she wouldn’t have been able to buy the van without the help of the community. Dozens of people donated money on GoFundMe after she gave birth to identical triplet girls. Those donations allowed her to buy a car that her entire family could fit in. Blanford was able to get around with all of her kids — now ranging from 9 years old to 9 months old. “We were able to purchase the van because of what the community was able to do for us,” she said. Sunday morning, thieves stole that van from outside of her apartment. Surveillance video from her neighbor’s Ring doorbell shows it all unfold. It took less than three minutes for Blanford to lose her only form of transportation.”It’s been really devastating,” she said. “I just want to get it back so we can keep going. We’re just trying to make it.”Now, she’s left relying on other people to help her family get around and explaining to her kids why they don’t have their van.”It’s just this kind of sad to tell them because they’re just like, ‘Why would people do that?’ You know, they don’t really understand things like that,” she said. She said she and her seven kids need their family van back. She’s hopeful the community will help to keep an eye out for it. “We’re just hoping someone can have a heart, you know, and some compassion and give it back,” she said. “It kind of takes a village. But we’re just hoping that, you know, this village is willing to be friendly enough to let us have our vehicle back.”Blanford said the van is a 2011 gold-colored Honda Odyssey. She said she isn’t looking for donations; she just wants her van back.
