ITV has decided to hold live auditions in the coming weeks to find the best person to replace Holly Willoughby on The This Morning Show.

I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! will have Josie Gibson, 38, as a host. Gibson leads the show two or three times a week. In Australia, network officials see this as a chance to try out possible hosts for the show’s return in the new year.

Sources in the network have said that they plan to check out the compatibility and friendliness of a number of possible sites.

Their main goal is to find a woman because they still want to hire Ben Shephard, 48, to replace Phillip Schofield in January, as they had planned to pair him with Ms. Willoughby.

“Bosses have been inundated with suggestions for the next This Morning duo but they will take their time to get it right but there has been huge interest from agents calling in on behalf of their clients.”

Kate Garraway and Davina McCall are the frontrunners to replace Ms. Willoughby, 42, who quit two weeks ago after 14 years as host of This Morning.

Chiefs want Mr. Shephard to host, but they have also thought about married couples like Cat Deeley and Patrick Kielty and Emma and Matt Willis. However, that doesn’t look likely to happen right now.
