Jackson area high school basketball top performers for Week 11


Week 11 for West Tennessee high school basketball is underway with some big games.

The postseason is not too far away for local teams – and finding ways to win heading into the playoffs is paramount.

Tuesday

Girls

TCA 50, CARROLL ACADEMY 15: Annie Payne, Mallory Arnold and Rylee Hidrogo each scored 10 points to pace the Lions’ victory. Arnold notched a double-double with a team-high 12 rebounds. Jenna Joyce added 10 rebounds with her four points.

Boys

TCA 79, CARROLL ACADEMY 26: Lake Helton scored 15 points and added five rebounds in the lopsided victory. Kaleb Williams (14), Gabe Lee (11) and Zack Niven (11) were all in double digits. Niven pulled down a team-high seven rebounds.

Monday

Girls

McNAIRY 56, NORTH SIDE 20: Neerajah Wade led the Bobcats with 15 points while Anna Clayton (11) and Lena Taylor (10) each finished the game in double figures.

USJ 58, TCA 33:Haylen Ayers led the Bruins with 19 points in the victory. Lilly Teague scored 12 while Ellen Driver added 10.

Boys

USJ 60, TCA 59: Mills Terry led the Bruins with a double-double including 19 points and 10 rebounds while dishing out eight assists. Brady Smith led USJ with 21 points in the victory. Brayden Waller led TCA with 23 points, five rebounds and four assists. Drake Craddock (13) and Kaleb Williams (11) each were in double figures.

NORTH SIDE 67, McNAIRY 57: Tramel Jones scored 19 points to lead North Side to the victory while Lincoln Woods added 14 points. Derrien Clark led the Bobcats with 20 points while Ethan Johnson (12) and Kylyn Allen (11) were each in double figures.
