JACKSON, Mo. (KBSI) – The Jackson R-2 Child Nutrition team was awarded a grant from Department of Elementary + Secondary Education & Food + Nutrition Services.

On January 18, the Jackson R-2 Child Nutrition team was awarded a $17,000 grant.

The funding can be used to increase purchases of nutritious, local foods to serve students in our district through the National School Lunch Program and School Breakfast Program.
