The actress who plays Elvis Presley, Priscilla Presley, gave Jacob Elordi her blessing for his role in her recently released movie.
25-year-old Kissing Booth star Cailee Spaeny plays the title character in Sofia Coppola’s movie Priscilla. The Kissing Booth star plays the King of Rock ‘n’ Roll.
Elordi said in his cover story for GQ that he watched “nearly every piece of available footage that existed” to get ready for the part. He also talked to Priscilla, and they became close because they both loved animals.
The famous singer was known for having a unique accent and voice, which Priscilla seemed to like.
Elordi told the news source, “She said I got the voice right. Which was everything I needed to get.”
Before, Austin Butler played Elvis in the documentary Elvis, which was directed by Baz Luhrmann. Butler spent three years getting ready for the part, and his act earned him a Golden Globe. Even after the movie came out, he still sounded like Elvis.
The news source said that the Euphoria actor had “no traces of Elvis-speak,” even though he stayed in character for the whole time he was on set.
He said, “There’s all these layers and hoops that you have to jump through to get to that voice. So, for me personally to be dropping out my voice and then coming in, it’s not going to work.”
