Jake Gyllenhaal, 42, Is Ready to Move on with Beau 27-Year-Old Jeanne Cadieu

Jake Gyllenhaal is open to the idea that he and his girlfriend Jeanne Cadieu could start a family of their own.

In an interview to promote his first children’s book, The Secret Society of Aunts and Uncles, the star of “The Prisoners” talked about how much he loves his sisters Ramona, 16, and Gloria, 11, and how he wishes he could have kids like them.

“I would love to have a family,” he said, referring to his older sister Maggie Gyllenhaal and her husband Pete Sarsgaard. “And if it’s anything like the family that my sister’s raised and has cultivated, I would be proud.”

But Gyllenhaal, who is 42, isn’t saying much about his friendship with Cadieu, who is 27.

“It’s a wonderful relationship,” gushed the actor. “We are private, but I guess we are who we are. We’re just living our lives. We always have.”

Even though he is happy that people are interested in the relationship, Gyllenhaal said, “What’s ours is ours.”

The Nightcrawler actor was first tied to Cadieu in late 2018. Since then, the two have stayed out of the public eye, except for their first red-carpet appearance in 2021.

Gyllenhaal gushed about his friendship earlier this year, saying, “In a lot of ways, we’re family. I feel so at ease.”
