JANESVILLE, Wis. (WMTV) – The Janesville Police Department announced Friday that its newly designed patrol squad cars are officially in use.
According to the department, it has been approximately fifteen years since the department has changed what people see patrolling out in the community. The new design is meant to be less distracting.
The department assures the redesigned squad cars are in fact City of Janesville police vehicles.
There will be five newly designed vehicles this year, including a UTV and F-150. The department says it will share more information on those vehicles once it’s available.
