Jennifer Aniston Believes That Comedy Has Evolved

Jennifer Aniston has told the group of people who find “Friends” offensive that “comedy has evolved.”

The 54-year-old actress, who became famous for playing Rachel Green on the American “Friends” sitcom, said, “I wish we could all poke fun at ourselves a little bit more.”

She told AFP that it’s a little tricky because you have to be very careful, which makes it extremely difficult for comedians because the essence of comedy is that we make fun of ourselves and life.

Years ago, it was funny to make jokes about people who were prejudiced. And the point was to teach people how stupid they were.

“And now we can’t do that anymore. She said, “Comedy has changed, and so have movies.”

The actress said that she knows there is a whole generation of kids who watch Friends episodes and find them offensive.

“There were things we didn’t mean to do, and there were things we should have thought about more, but I don’t think we were as sensitive as we are now,” she said.

Jennifer said with a lot of passion that everyone needs to laugh! Humor is what the world needs! We can’t be too hard on ourselves, particularly within the United States. Everyone is excessively divided.
