Jennifer Coolidge will be given the Comedic Genius Award at the 2023 MTV Movie & TV Awards.

Deadline says that MTV stated on Thursday, April 20, that Drew Barrymore will host the event, which will air on the network on May 7.

For those who don’t know, Coolidge will be the sixth person to win the award. Jack Black, Melissa McCarthy, Sacha Baron Cohen, Kevin Hart, and Will Ferrell have all won it before.

For her role as Tanya in the critically acclaimed HBO series The White Lotus, Coolidge has recently earned an Emmy, Golden Globe, two Critics’ Choice Awards, and a SAG Award.

Not only that, but Coolidge also played opposite Naomi Watts in Ryan Murphy’s Netflix show The Watcher, the romantic comedy Shotgun Wedding on Amazon Prime Video, and the family adventure We Have a Ghost on Netflix.

A Cinderella Story, Promising Young Woman, A Mighty Wind, and For Your Consideration are some of the actress’s other big hits.
