Jennifer Hudson appears to have verified the long-running rumors that something is going on between her and Common, and all on national television.

Hudson, 42, spoke on this week’s CBS Mornings Monday about her daytime talk program, her early days on American Idol, being a first-time mom to a teenager, and, wait for it, how “happy” she is in a relationship with “someone who shall remain unnamed.”

“I am very happy… yes, ma’am,” she told Gayle King after the hostess questioned if she is pleased in her personal life, alluding to the romance rumors that began nearly two years ago.

When the co-hosts asked if it was a “situationship” or a “entanglement,” the Dream Girls actress explained, “it’s definitely not an entanglement.”

The multi-award winner’s unnamed revelation comes after months of dismissing relationship rumors and saying that she and the Come Close rapper are merely pals.

However, romance rumors about the duo have been circulating since February 2002, when they were photographed together visiting Philadelphia and their mutual birthplace of Chicago.

It was reported three months later that they would co-star in the upcoming picture Breathe.

The couple has been sighted on numerous occasions since, most notably going hand-in-hand at a Jazz performance at Joe Pub’s theater in NYC three days ago.

However, the couple had kept their connection a secret until recently.
