When Jennifer Lawrence and Rachel Zegler ran into each other at Paris Fashion Week on Tuesday, it was the dream crossover for Hunger Games fans. The actress who played Katniss Everdeen in the first Hunger Games movie ran into the actress who will play her in the future prequel.
Zegler, who is 22 years old, put a video of the two Hunger Games contestants talking and laughing while posing for the camera on X, which used to be called Twitter.
“A mother to many. A mother to Me,” Zegler cleverly captioned the five-second clip of her Hunger Games co-star, who also played the title part in Mother! and has a one-year-old son with her husband, Cooke Maroney.
The two were also seen sitting two seats apart, with Jenna Ortega and Rosalia between them.
Lawrence, who is 33, played Katniss Everdeen in the 2012 movie version of the dystopian book series for young adults.
Since then, the star of Silver Linings Playbook has said that she would like to play Katniss again. In June, she told Variety, “If Katniss could ever come back into my life, 100 percent.”
In the upcoming Hunger Games sequel, The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes, Zegler plays the lead part of Lucy Gray Baird, which takes place 64 years before the first movie.
The Oscar-winning actress, who is always there to help, told the cast of the story, “Just have fun – don’t worry about anything.”
On November 17, The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes will come out in theaters.
