Jennifer Lawrence Recalls Saying ‘Thank You’ to Cooke Maroney’s Proposal

Jennifer Lawrence talked about how Cooke Maroney asked her to marry him on the most recent episode of Amelia Dimoldenberg’s YouTube show, Chicken Shop Date.

“Terrifying, but very, very exciting,” said Lawrence, who is currently pushing her new comedy No Hard Feelings. “I didn’t say what I wanted to. I imagined it a million times, and then I ended up just going, ‘What? What? What?’ And then going, ‘Thank you, thank you, thank you.’”

Cooke Maroney is the owner of an art gallery in New York City. He has been dating Jennifer Lawrence since June 2018. A representative for the actress revealed in February 2019 that the two were engaged and married in October of the same year.

At their wedding reception, which was held at Belcourt of Newport, a fancy house in Newport, Rhode Island, 150 people were there. A lot of famous people were there, like Adele, Amy Schumer, Kris Jenner, Emma Stone, and Ashley Olsen.

In 2019, Lawrence told Entertainment Tonight that she said yes to Maroney because “He’s just the best person I’ve ever met in my whole life. It was a very, very easy decision.”

Jennifer Lawrence was worried about making a commitment while she was shooting Causeway in New Orleans. But the worry went away when she and Maroney got back to their home in New York City.

The Hunger Games star thought, “I’m so happy I didn’t freak out and cancel the wedding and run away.”
