Jennifer Lopez is as candid and hilarious about her marriages as she can be.
In the music video for her latest single, Can’t Get Enough, from her upcoming album This Is Me…Now, the Grammy nominee makes a subtle reference to her four nuptials.
The film, directed by Dave Meyers, opens on January 10 and depicts Jennifer’s wedding to Husband No. 1. It appears that her pals bet on her marriage, since one of them receives extra money for guessing that Jennifer couldn’t be alone.
The audience then proceeds to the reception, where the Hustlers actress is swept off her feet by Husband No. 2, played by Dancing With The Stars judge Derek Hough.
But just as Jennifer and No. 2 are about to go to the sweetheart table, Husband No. 3 arrives.
After that, her “husbands” trade places for the rest of the film, raising eyebrows as one acquaintance warns another not to pick up the bouquet because “it’s cursed.”
The video concludes abruptly with a frightening “To be continued” and a sharp jump cut to what looks to be a lawyer’s office, where we hear the singer’s spouses criticise Jennifer.
Jen may not have been lucky in love when she participated in the Can’t Get Enough video, but she has found love with her husband, Ben Affleck.
In reality, inspiration for her new record came from the director, with whom she collaborated in the early 2000s and reignited their relationship nearly two decades later.
