Jennifer Lopez has given fans a first look at her upcoming “musical experience” in a cryptic new social media post.
In the post, JLo shares a video, which starts off with the words “Hear It. See It. Live It,” before proceeding into a montage of what appears to be a series of music videos, including a shot of Lopez wearing a wedding dress.
The fast-paced preview is revealed to be for This Is Me…Now, the album that Lopez originally announced one year ago today. A sequel to her 2002 LP This Is Me…Then, the album is presumed to be about the rekindling of her relationship with husband Ben Affleck. Today also marks the anniversary of the original album’s release.
This Is Me…Then includes a song titled “Dear Ben,” which Lopez wrote for Affleck during their first try at love in the early 2000s. Now that they have since married after returning to each other, This Is Me…Now is set to feature “Dear Ben Pt. II,” a followup to the initial track.
Anticipated for a 2024 release, the album also includes songs titled “Midnight Trip to Vegas” and “Mad in Love,” which may also be written about her romance with the actor.
“This musical experience is a manifestation, through music, film, and reality, of a life’s journey on the search for the truth about love,” the video states. The message fuels speculation that This Is Me…Now could be more than just an album, with visual and live components added.
Lopez’s post confirms that more information regarding the project will be announced on Monday, Nov. 27.
This Is Me…Now will mark Jennifer Lopez’s first studio album release in nearly 10 years. A.K.A was released in 2014 and featured collaborations with Iggy Azalea, Tyga, French Montana, and more.
