The movie The Mother by Jennifer Lopez had a great start on Netflix. It broke a lot of records for the streaming service.

Based on information from Netflix’s Top 10 page, the movie was watched for 83.71 million hours in its first weekend.

Even though the report came out on May 12, it covers the week of May 8 to May 14. This beats the previous record, which Luther set: The Fallen Sun. During its opening weekend in February 2023, 65.92 million people watched it.

Jennifer Lopez plays a skilled killer who has been on the run for a long time in the movie “The Mother.” But she has to come out of hiding to protect her daughter, who she hasn’t seen in a long time.

Niki Caro is in charge of the action-thriller movie The Mother. Misha Green, Andrea Berloff, and Peter Craig wrote the script, which was based on a story by Green.

Joseph Fiennes, Omari Hardwick, Lucy Paez, Paul Raci, and Gael Garca Bernal are also in the movie, along with Jennifer Lopez. On May 12, 2023, Netflix put out the movie.
