New York City may be one of the fashion meccas, but an upcoming Jersey City event aims to show that Chilltown has style, too. After its inaugural event in 2023, Jersey City’s 2nd annual Day of Fashion will return for 2024 on Thursday, September 5th (right before New York Fashion Week starts) at various Jersey City venues. About the Event
Jersey City’s 2nd annual Day of Fashion will take place on Thursday, September 5th from 9AM-12AM, with various events happening throughout the day including workshops, runway shows, pop-up shops, and networking events. The event serves as an opportunity for designers, brands, and retailers to connect, share ideas, and gain recognition, as well as celebrate and empower the local Jersey City fashion community.

The full schedule and more details about each event have yet to be released, but here’s a list of the events so far:
- 9AM-10AM: Press Conference at Jersey City City Hall (invite only) — 280 Grove Street
- 10AM-11:30AM: VIP Meet + Greet at Charles + Co. Rooftop (invite only) — 201 Montgomery Street
- 11AM-2PM: Panel Discussions at Hyatt House — 1 Exchange Place
- 7PM-9PM: Fashion Shows
- 9PM-12AM: Closing Party (invite only)
The event is hosted by the Fashion Alliance Network — an initiative committed to fostering creativity and economic growth in urban cities — in partnership with the City of Jersey City and Council President Joyce Watterman.
Jersey City’s Day of Fashion is a “dynamic event dedicated to highlighting Jersey City’s vibrant fashion scene”, per a press release. The day-long event aims to showcase the creativity and diversity of local Jersey City designers, businesses, and artists, and help them thrive in the competitive fashion industry.
“We believe in the transformative power of community,” Martu Freeman-Parker, founder of the Fashion Alliance Network, said in a press release. “Recognizing the unprecedented challenges faced by small brands and designers, we offer a supportive environment that encourages collaboration and innovation”.
