Masquerade Jewelry and Accessories sale fundraiser, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 16 in the MercyOne Oelwein Main Lobby and meeting room. Funds support health care scholarships for local high school seniors and equipment provided to MercyOne Oelwein by its Friends group, which is organizing the event.

The selection, in addition to jewelry, will include socks, slippers, leggings, scarves, purses, wallet and phone accessories while available.

High school seniors going into a health care profession from Oelwein, Wapsie Valley, West Central and Starmont can check out the other scholarship requirements on the MercyOne website. Friends of MercyOne Oelwein equipment purchases have included crash carts, waiting room furniture, garden upkeep and signage.

The Friends of MercyOne will also be participating in the Oelwein Chamber and Area Development Treats, Streets and Avenues recipe tasting event that night, Thursday, Nov. 16 from 4-7 p.m.

The Friends of MercyOne Bake Sale will be Tuesday, Nov. 21, from 7:30 a.m. until gone, at MercyOne Oelwein.
