Jim Carrey Displays Dramatic New Haircut in Rare Public Outing Amid ‘Grinch 2’ Rumors

During Friendsgiving, Jim Carrey unveiled a new hairstyle that rendered him unrecognizable.

Carrey, 61, celebrated Thanksgiving with friends Seth Green and Jeff Ross in West Hollywood’s San Vicente Bungalows Thursday evening, one of the rare public appearances he’s made since announcing his retirement from acting last year.

In that time, the Mask actor’s hair has grown to shoulder length, as evidenced by images obtained by the Daily Mail.

His long brown hair, devoid of gray, was parted on the side. Notably, despite his once spectacular bushy beard, his face was completely shaved.

Carrey was dressed casually in black jeans and a black T-shirt with a yellow smiling face. He dressed warmly for the frigid night, wearing a green zip jacket and black boots.

The Emmy candidate seemed upbeat as he chatted and laughed with Jeff in the parking lot.

Carrey’s presence comes just days after he put an end to rumors of a possible return to acting by reprising one of his most memorable roles as the Grinch in How the Grinch Stole Christmas, just as rumors of a sequel to the 2000s Christmas film began to circulate.

“There is no truth to Jim reprising his role as the Grinch in a sequel to The Grinch,” said Carrey’s representative to People Magazine.
