HARRISONBURG, Va. – James Madison Athletics announces its full promotional schedule for the 2023-24 Men’s Basketball season.
The Dukes will host 15 regular-season games this season at the Atlantic Union Bank Center in their second season as a member of the Sun Belt Conference, and James Madison has been selected as the preseason favorite to win the 2023-24 conference title in a vote of the league’s 14 head coaches.
The promotional slate kicks off on Nov. 12 as JMU hosts Howard in its home opener. This game marks Hoop for Troops, as veterans and current military members will be honored during pregame. Students, arrive early to snag some free food!
The JMU Faculty & Staff Appreciation game will be on Nov. 29. All JMU faculty and staff in attendance will receive a free gift courtesy of CommonWealth One. There will also be free Sun Belt Conference schedule koozies for all fans while supplies last.
Fans, make sure you mark your calendars for Dec. 19, as the Dukes will host the annual Holiday Game. There might even be an appearance of a holiday favorite!
Three games have been designated as color-out games for JMU Nation. All JMU fans are encouraged to wear purple on Jan. 20 versus Marshall, white during the Royal Rivalry game vs Old Dominion on Feb. 1 and black during the MAC-SBC Challenge game on Feb. 10.
Calling all youth sports teams to the Atlantic Union Bank Center on Feb. 10 for Youth Sports Day! Arrive early to collect trading cards and stick around after the game to participate in postgame activities. The Puppy Pound party for registered members will take place pregame.
The Dukes will return home on Feb. 15 for the first-ever JMU Jam! This night is our take on NBA Jam, and fans will receive exclusive JMU Jam themed posters and retro JMU Jam game tokens.
Celebrate the class of 2024 seniors on Feb. 17! The Dukes are scheduled to take on Georgia Southern for their final home game of the regular season.
