Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner Agreed to Move to a ‘Heavenly’ U.K. Home Before Divorce

Joe Jonas doesn’t always seem to be against settling down with Sophie Turner and their girls in the U.K.

Three months before he filed for divorce, the singer seemed very sure that he and the Game of Thrones actress would move to the U.K.

Us Weekly reports that Jonas, who is 34, and Turner, who is 27, signed a contract on July 7 to buy a home in Wallingford, Oxford, England. The contract was filed in court on Tuesday, September 26.

The couple, who are no longer together, put down 10% of the house’s estimated $9 million value.

Jonas raved about the farm in a June 16 offer letter.

He was so excited that he said, “When my wife and I decided we were going to spend more time in the UK and search for a permanent home, our daughter expressed three unwavering requirements, having chickens, a pony, and a Wendy house.”

“Well, many of the houses we viewed met this criteria, the moment we turned the corner and caught sight of the charming blue shutters adorning [this home], we experienced a sense of magic, unlike anything we had felt before,” he wrote, according to the September documents.

He went into more depth about the “beautiful walled garden” and other features of the house.

“It was simply heavenly! My father-in-law is an incredibly keen gardener, and he was suitably impressed by your vegetable garden too, a very important sign off!” Jonas made a comment.

After being married for four years, Jonas asked Turner to end the marriage. The next day, they posted a joint statement on Instagram in which they said that they had come to their choice “mutually” and “amicably.”
