Joe Keery is getting sad because the end of Stranger Things is coming up.
As the Netflix hit comes to an end after five seasons, there are rumors that the long-awaited finale won’t be shot until the SAG-AFTRA strikes are over.
Joe Keery, who is 31 years old and is known for playing Steve Harrington in the sci-fi story, talks about how his feelings are like a tornado.
The Massachusetts-born actor has said that he is very thankful to Stranger Things for giving him his “whole career.”
The first day of filming was in November 2015, and Joe said that making the show was “an amazing ride” and that the team and the other actors were “such great people.”
In an interview with Women’s Wear Daily before the SAG-AFTRA strike, Joe said, ”It does feel like it’s time. It won’t be easy for it to end. I mean, I owe my whole career to being on that show and all the opportunities that I had since are because of that show. So it’s very convoluted. There’s a sense of relief, there’s a sense of sadness. I guess my goal is to just really soak it up as much as I can while we’re doing it, and not take any of it for granted because it’s been an amazing ride with such great people.”
“And then once it’s done, move forward and try to just hold on to the joy that we had when we were making it….Everything has a beginning and the middle and an end. It’ll be nice to have the end of this too,” he said.
The Writers Guild of America (WGA) strike kept season 5 of Stranger Things from starting to film in June 2023.
