‘John Wick’ Chief Not Quite Ready to Let Go of Keanu Reeves

Lionsgate CEO Joe Drake has hinted that there will be more Keanu Reeves in John Wick, even though Chapter 4 is breaking records at the worldwide box office.

“We’re not ready to say goodbye to Keanu with this franchise,” said Joe Drake, chairman of Lionsgate Motion Picture Group, to Deadline.

Even though the main character in the latest movie has a clear ending, the studio’s boss said that the movie broke a record by making $137.5 million worldwide in its first week.

Drake added, “There are a lot of different things we can do.” “In the last week, I’ve seen this movie five times.”

The lead actor also hinted that he or she might come back to the series.

He told Entertainment Weekly, “I don’t know, I guess I’m going to have to lean on never say never.”

“I mean, I wouldn’t make a John Wick movie without Chad Stahelski as the director. We’d have to wait and see how that turned out. I think it’s great that John Wick has found peace.”

Reeves also said that he would be in the new spinoff movie Ballerina, which will star Ana de Armas.

At SXSW, he said, “I have a cameo in ‘Ballerina.’”
