Johnny Depp Attends the Red Carpet in Cannes Despite Criticism

Hollywood star Johnny Depp surprised fans when he showed up on the Cannes Red Carpet on Tuesday, the first day of the 76th Cannes Film Festival in the South of France.

On Tuesday, Depp showed up at the Cannes Film Festival to open his new movie, Jeanne du Barry. The movie is the first time the star has been on a big screen in three years. His personal life has caused a lot of trouble for him.

This year, the buzz went to a whole new level because of rumors about both the actor and the director, who also stars as the favorite mistress of 18th-century king Louis X, who is played by Captain Sparrow from The Pirates of the Caribbean.

The film, Depp, and #Cannes2023 are all getting a lot of attention on social media, and people are still arguing about whether or not the film should be on the list.

Depp went to the fancy event in his usual style, with slicked-back hair, a ponytail, and shades. Security surrounded him while he spent more than five minutes signing autographs and taking pictures with excited fans.

“Viva Johnny” was written on a sign on a balcony above the street as the star’s excited fans repeatedly yelled his name.

For Depp, Cannes was his first time on the red carpet since the Rome Film Festival 2021. It was also his first big appearance since a messy divorce with ex-wife Amber Heard and years of legal battles.
