The Johnson Park Center Food Pantry held a free food giveaway for walkers in Utica.
UTICA, N.Y. — The Johnson Park Center Food Pantry is once again giving back to the community.
On Dec. 4 and continuing on Dec. 5, the JPC Food Pantry is handing out free food to walkers from 3 p.m. until 6 p.m.
The food giveaway is held rain or shine on the 1400 block of West Street in Utica.
“It’s very important to us because we love the community,” JPC Food Pantry Manager Francis Eusevio said. “We always want to help the community, that’s why we’re always here. We serve a lot of food and we’re always happy to serve the people. Everybody knows Christmas is special and we’re just here to help and make families happy.”
If you’d like to participate, you need your Food Pantry ID card. If you don’t have one, you can register for one at the center. You will need your regular ID for that.
