Jonathan Majors’ Lawyer Shows Text Messages from a Woman Saying She Was to Blame for a Fight

Jonathan Major’s case has taken an important turn since his lawyer released text messages that were reportedly sent by a woman who seems to be taking the blame for the fight.

On Thursday, the actor’s lawyer showed text messages that he said came from the woman who has accused him of assaulting her.

According to the shared messages, which haven’t been checked yet, the woman told Majors, “I told them it was my fault for trying to grab your phone.”

The woman also said she was “angry” that Majors had been arrested and did not agree with the charges.

“I said again that this wasn’t an attack,” the woman is said to have written. The person who sent the texts also says that she was “hurt” and that “we fought.”

But an NYPD representative said, “We have an active and ongoing investigation, but we can’t say anything else.”

For those who may not be aware, Majors was recently arrested in Manhattan on assault and harassment charges stemming from an incident allegedly occurring in the couple’s own home involving a 30-year-old woman.

After getting a 911 call from an apartment in Chelsea on Saturday, the New York police went there right away. Majors was taken into custody without any problems.

After that, the unnamed victim was taken to the hospital with “minor injuries to her head and neck,” according to the police.

In a statement released Thursday, Mr. Majors’ criminal defense lawyer, Priya Chaudhry, said, “Mr. Majors completely denies assaulting the woman.”

She also says that Majors was the one who called the police.
