Joshua Jackson and Jodie Turner Smith Split Due to ‘Irreconcilable Differences’

Joshua Jackson and Jodie Turner-Smith’s almost four-year marriage is finally over.

TMZ said that Jodie, who has been married to the 45-year-old Dawson’s Creek star for three years and has a 3-year-old daughter named Juno Rose Diana, has filed for divorce, claiming “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for their split.

Laura Wasser, a well-known celebrity divorce lawyer, is Smith’s lawyer in this case, and she has asked for shared custody of their daughter.

In legal papers, the date of the breakup is written as September 13. This date is interesting because it is just one day after the pair appeared together at New York Fashion Week.

Turner-Smith has chosen not to ask for spousal support for herself or Joshua Jackson. The couple also did not have a prenuptial agreement.

Joshua Jackson and Jodie Turner-Smith stopped following each other on social media in September of the year before. This was a big change from the way they used to share loving posts online, which led to reports that they were breaking up.

Later, though, they got back in touch online, and Jackson played down the breakup rumors in an interview with E! News.

In his own words, he showed how much he liked his wife by calling her “undeniably one of the most beautiful women on the planet” and praising the way she looked on the red carpet.

He also told her how much he loved seeing her face when he woke up in the morning.
