Jungkook’s ‘Golden’ Outsells Taylor Swift’s ‘1989’ on the Album Sales Chart


BTS member Jungkook has passed Taylor Swift’s 1989 (Taylor’s Version) on the global sales chart with his debut solo album Golden.

According to United World Chart, the youngest member of BTS achieved this feat with a huge 951,000 total equivalent album sales.

Swift’s album, on the other hand, came in second place on the chart with 358,000 sales.

In October, Jungkook’s breakthrough track Seven off his recently released album Golden surpassed one billion Spotify streams, shattering Miley Cyrus’ previous record set by Flowers.

Jungkook’s song broke a record in just 108 days, according to the social media blog BTS Charts Daily.

Miley previously held the record, when her song reached 1 billion streams on the digital music service in 112 days.

According to sources, Jungkook will play his debut solo performance on November 20, 2023 in Seoul, South Korea. The vocalist will captivate the crowd with songs from his debut solo album, Golden.
