‘Jungle’ where nature and melody blend in one show

RIYADH: As part of its “Argentinian Shows” series, the Theater and Performing Arts Commission has organized the “Jungle” show, which kicked off on Nov. 14 and continues until Nov. 18, the Saudi Press Agency reported.

The show took place at the Blue Hall of the Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University Conference Center in Riyadh.

“Jungle,” which is Brazilian-themed on account of the influence of the country across South America’s vast rainforests, is the sixth event in the “Argentinian Shows” series, which aims to enrich cultural content by attracting performances from various countries.

The commission wrote on X: “Experience the enthralling harmonies of a masterful musical orchestra, harmonizing with the awe-inspiring allure of Brazilian nature in the captivating show of ‘Jungle.’”

Over the course of four days, the event showcases traditional Brazilian performing arts, blending the enchanting sounds of South America’s rainforests. The orchestra plays a vital role delivering musical compositions that capture the essence of life in the jungle.

The “Argentinian Shows,” which will run until Dec. 9, are a series of nine diverse events including “Alice in Wonderland,” “Out of Gravity” and contemporary art acts, such as hip-hop, acrobatics, and trampolining.

Attendees can immerse themselves in an interactive exhibition curated to deepen their understanding of Argentina’s wide-ranging cultural heritage.

A range of Argentine and Latin American restaurants cater the events. Themed photo corners are also available for visitors to capture lasting memories, and an exclusive pop-up store will offer authentic Argentine souvenirs.

Through the shows, the commission aims to raise cultural awareness, introduce performing arts, and attract audiences with content.
