Justin Timberlake deleted his Instagram in an unexpected decision after limiting his comments on the platform.
Fans noted that all of the 42-year-old singer’s Instagram postings were deleted on Monday, January 8th.
The SexyBack singer has also altered his Instagram profile image, which is now a fuzzy reflection in a car mirror. He still follows 1,225 persons and has over 72 million followers.
It’s unclear what prompted the social media cleansing, as Timberlake remained active on the platform until the end of the year.
Timberlake, on the other hand, had already kept a quiet profile since his ex-girlfriend Britney Spears’ memoir, The Woman In Me, was released in October 2023.
In the book, Spears revealed many undisclosed facts about their relationship, including how she had an abortion at home with his child and accused him of infidelity while they were together.
Timberlake has received outrage following the allegations, prompting him and his wife Jessica Biel to limit their social media remarks.
While the Cry Me A River singer has not provided an explanation for the new beginning, it is plausible that he is hinting at a forthcoming album.
Previously, sources told Page Six in September 2023 that he plans to release new songs this year.
“Justin is coming out with a new album, so he’s planning a big US tour for 2024,” a source stated at the time.
It remains to be seen what Timberlake has planned for 2024.
