People say that Justin Timberlake is “fleeing” to Mexico with his family after Britney Spears mentioned him in her new book, The Women in Me. However, this may not be the real story.

“It had nothing to do with Britney’s memoir,” a source told Us Weekly. “He and his family already had this vacation planned months ago.”

The Daily Mail published pictures of Timberlake, 42, arriving in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, on Monday, October 30. He was with his family, which included his wife Jessica Biel.

The source says Timberlake “backs Britney’s choice to tell the truth,” but that he is “focused on his family and living in the present.”

In her book, which came out earlier this month, Spears made a lot of claims about her relationship with Timberlake.

The singers met on the set of “The Mickey Mouse Club.” From 1999 to 2002, they went on shows. But in her book, she says that Timberlake texted Spears to break up with her.

Spears also told them that she had an abortion before they broke up.

Timberlake, for his part, had no idea that he would have such a big part in The Woman in Me.
