KALAMAZOO, MI — The Kalamazoo-Portage community has once again been ranked among the top 40 “arts-vibrant communities” in the U.S., according to the National Center for Arts Research.

This is the second year Kalamazoo-Portage has appeared on NCAR’s annual index. Communities are ranked by population size on a list of 20 large communities, 10 medium communities and 10 small communities on factors that cover aspects of supply, demand and public support for arts and culture.
