Following President Joe Biden’s shock dropout from the presidential election and Kamala Harris’ bid, endorsements have been flooding in. The British singer posted to X, “kamala IS brat”. An Instagram page for Harris’ campaign, called “kamalahq” posted photos with similar graphics to Charli’s recent album “brat”. The musician told the BBC that a “brat” is someone who is self-possessed, rebellious, and genuine. Beyoncé, who is notoriously strict about the use of her songs, also endorsed the Harris campaign by giving permission to use her song ‘Freedom’. Left-leaning users on social media have said they were feeling re-energized about the Democrats and their chances of winning following Biden’s withdrawal.
