Kanye West Makes Major Assertion About Jews in New Documentary

In an interview for a new documentary, Kanye West, who used to be married to Kim Kardashian, said that he thought Jews were “holding him back.”

The statement was made in “The Trouble With Kanye,” a new BBC documentary with talks with people who have met West.

The documentary, which is led by journalist Mobeen Azhar, looks at “the complex journey that led West to become one of the most famous and creatively successful artists of his generation, but more recently, to condemnation and notoriety,” including the American rapper’s fall into anti-Semitism.

In an interview for the documentary, tech entrepreneur Alex Klein, who worked on West’s last album “Donda 2,” said that West had told him he was “exactly like the other Jews.” When Klein asked West if he really thought that all Jews were working together to hold him back, West said, “Yes.”

West has made a lot of anti-Semitic comments in the past few months, which has led to a long list of events. In October 2022, he wrote that he was going to go to “death con 3 on JEWISH PEOPLE.” This was the first of many anti-semitic things he said.

The 45-year-old father of three was named “Antisemite of the Year” by the group StopAntisemitism because of comments he made in the last few months.

He has been criticized by a lot of people in the film industry, as well as by politicians and groups that speak for Jewish communities. Later, he left an interview where he was questioned about his anti-Semitic views.

West’s Twitter account was also shut down three times in less than two months. He has also lost endorsement deals with Balenciaga, Adidas, and Gap, and The School of the Art Institute of Chicago took away his honors degree.

But in March, West seemed to change his mind when he said he “likes Jewish people again” after seeing Jonah Hill in the movie 21 Jump Street.

“No one should take anger against one or two individuals and transform that into hatred towards millions of people,” he wrote on Instagram. “No Christian can be labeled antisemite knowing Jesus is a Jew.”

Kim Kardashian, who used to be married to West, recently said that she couldn’t “force her beliefs” on the rapper.

“You can’t expect them to be where you’re at [and] at your level,” Kim Kardashian said.
