Katy Perry’s Heartfelt Finale: A Tribute to Daisy Dove at Las Vegas Residency

As Katy Perry concluded her Las Vegas residency with the final performance of “Play,” the stage at Resorts World Theater was illuminated not just by the lights but also by her heartfelt dedication to her daughter, Daisy Dove. “Daisy, I love you so much,” declared Perry, an affectionate shout-out that resonated through the venue, as captured in videos shared widely on social media platforms.

The audience was treated tenderly when the three-year-old Daisy appeared on the video screens, charmingly dressed in a Minnie Mouse outfit and waving at her mother. “You’re my best friend, and I’m so glad you’re here,” Perry shared, her words wrapping the theatre in a warm embrace.

In a moving finale, Perry’s speech was a mosaic of gratitude and love, highlighting the influence of her daughter on her creative journey. “I created this show after the birth of my daughter, Daisy Dove,” she revealed. The new motherhood experience was transformative for Perry, who felt that meeting Daisy was like finding the elusive love she had always sought. She credited her daughter with healing her and reintroducing her to the art of play.

The show, Perry explained, was a homage to the purity of a child’s perspective and the hope that such innocence could liberate us all. She poignantly reminded her audience, “Because never forget, love is and will always be the key.”

Adding to the family affair, Orlando Bloom, Perry’s partner and Daisy’s father, was also present. His support for Perry was undeniable, both as a partner and an incredible father, a role for which Perry publicly expressed her appreciation.

Since welcoming Daisy to the world in August 2020, Perry and Bloom have been open about their joy and love for their daughter, sharing their emotions with their followers online. The “Play” residency, which began in 2021, was not just a set of performances but a celebration of life changes, love, and the magic children bring into the world.

In her closing address to the fans, Perry acknowledged their role in the success of her show, stating, “Without you, there would be no Play.” As she bowed out for the last time, the audience knew they had witnessed not just a show but a chapter of Perry’s life dedicated to her daughter, Daisy Dove.
