Keke Palmer is embarking on a sentimental journey, reliving the good old days.
On Tuesday, the 30-year-old Nope actress shared a video of herself performing a song she is deeply passionate about on social media.
“My mom sang this to my dad at their wedding! I wasn’t there, but all growing up as a party trick, he would put my mom on the spot to sing ‘their’ song,” she stated in her Instagram caption.
The video featured the multitalented star performing her own version of the late Natalie Cole’s 1975 classic Inseparable.
Palmer stated, “It wasn’t until I was an adult that I realized she (her mom) didn’t write the song! That’s how well she would sing it!”
The actress stated that, despite not having the same vocal range as her mother, Sharon Palmer, she felt compelled to sing the song while spending time with her young son at home.
“Randomly while playing with Leodis in the living room, I just started singing it to him. I guess that’s what real love makes you feel,” Keke wrote.
For the unplanned performance, the Disney alum dressed in a cozy black sweater and an oversized T-shirt featuring a variety of dinosaurs.
