Keke Palmer has been granted temporary sole legal and physical custody of Leodis, her eight-month-old baby with ex-partner Darius Jackson.
This ruling follows Palmer’s accusation of domestic abuse against Jackson, which was supported by frightening surveillance camera footage obtained by DailyMail from court filings.
According to documents obtained by People, a LA County judge has also issued a temporary restraining order (TRO) requiring Jackson to keep at least 100 yards away from both Palmer and Leodis.
The TRO includes any venues linked with the infant’s childcare or schooling.
Jackson is not permitted to have visitation privileges with Leodis under the present TRO.
On December 5, a critical hearing has been planned to chart the way for the following legal steps in this complex matter.
Palmer’s courageous stand against alleged physical and mental abuse has sparked outrage, forcing a court intervention to protect her and her baby.
This comes on the heels of Palmer’s mother breaking her silence in favor of the actress’s allegations of abuse by Jackson.
Notably, Palmer’s mother stated that she reported the alleged assault to Jackson’s brother, Sarunas, a year ago.
In the video, Keke’s mother, Shayla, stated, “For Sarunas Jackson to post on his Twitter the ridiculous stuff he posted when he knew his brother was abusive.”
She stated that she approached Sarunas over a year ago and alerted him of her daughter’s alleged mistreatment.
Shayla claims Jackson said, “Well, I used to be like that too.”
Shayla went on to say that Sarunas had a hand in teaching his brother how to be abusive and that “He don’t get to act like he’s this special guy. No. You’re a f***boy, and you’re part of the problem.”
The video’s description was bold, saying, “I dare you, mess with my family. Family means everything to me!”
