As season 5 of The Kardashians kicked off with a bang, Kendall Jenner is opening up about one of her most recent modeling gigs.
On the first epiode of the new season of the show, filmed in fall 2023, Jenner spoke about her look in the Victoria Beckham Spring/Summer 2024 womenswear show, which was so unusual for her that even her own family — including her mom, Kris Jenner, Kris’ boyfriend, Corey Gamble, and big sister Kim Kardashian — didn’t recognize her.
During the premiere episode, which aired on May 23, viewers see Kris, 68, and Kim, 43, making a mad dash for the Paris Fashion Week show as they get stuck in gridlock traffic, but make it just in time to sit next to Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour as well as David Beckham and see Kendall, 28, walk the runway.
“I think if anything, we have to be extra on time — early — just not give anyone a reason to talk s—,” Kim said of her and her mom’s late arrival to the show.
Kendall, meanwhile, stepped out onto the runway to close the show, which was being held at the former home of Chanel designer Karl Lagerfeld. Wearing thick, black oversize glasses, a slicked-back hairstyle and an oversize shiny black suit, the 28-year-old was nearly unrecognizable — so unrecognizable, in fact, that her mom didn’t realize it was her.
In a confessional, Kris wondered aloud: “Where’s Kendall? Did we miss Kendall? I’m like, maybe Kendall got stuck in traffic? What’s happening?”
At the runway show — which took place in September — the momager and SKIMS founder wore coordinated, silky outfits. Kris sported an all-black outfit featuring a spaghetti-strap slip dress layered under a black leather jacket with a shearling collar, and Kim wore a silk frosted-pink dress also with spaghetti straps, designed by Victoria Beckham.
Another shot in the episode shows Kris and Gamble as they fail to recognize Kendall in the boxy outfit.
“Kendall,” Kris continued in her confessional, addressing her daughter directly, “I don’t want you to take this personally, but I think I should let you know that I didn’t see you walk because I didn’t recognize you. It’s so horrible!”
Despite Kris’ horror at not recognizing her daughter as she took on Paris Fashion Week, Kendall revealed that she “loved” the reaction she got from her look.
“My family, my friends, they didn’t recognize me, but I kind of love that, I really kind of love it,” Kendall said. “That’s, like, kind of always my goal, like, being a chameleon, I guess, in the sense of becoming a different character.”

Elsewhere in the episode, Kim revealed that she only spent 12 hours total at Paris Fashion Week last year and explained her high-octane schedule.
“So, I go to New York, six hours, to Paris for 15 hours, to Atlantic City, to Milan. My plane’s gonna go home, pick up my kids…So, I’m actually gonna have them drop me off in Milan. Then I have to go to Washington D.C,” Kim told her mom and Gamble, holding a glass of Champagne before a toast.

Reflecting on her sister’s plans in a confessional, Kendall said simply: “God bless her soul.”
“I have so much respect for the level of ‘give a f—‘ that she has…flying around to all these places and more power to her, for sure. But I just could never. It’s so much,” Kendall said.
“I worry about her, I really do,” the model said, adding that she wishes her big sister would get some rest once in a while. “I think about her often in the sense of I want her to take a break.”
