
KENT, Ohio — The Kent State women’s basketball team has announced its promotional schedule for an action-packed 2023-24 season at the M.A.C. Center. A diverse array of themes and special celebrations promise to make every game a memorable experience for fans of all ages.
Muskingum: “Basketball & Donuts” (Nov. 5)
Celebrate National Donut Day while getting a preview of the Golden Flashes in an exhibition contest against Muskingum. Free donuts will be provided for the first 300 fans and schedule posters will be available for all.
Coppin State: Home Opener – Powder Blue Out (Nov. 29)
Our powder blue uniforms are a fan favorite, so the Flashes are giving the people what they want as the home schedule officially tips off. All fans will receive powder blue pom-poms and are strongly encouraged to wear powder blue. Additionally, exclusive Kent State rope hats will be available to the first 300 fans in attendance.
Also, in the spirit of Thanksgiving, all fans are encouraged to bring a teddy bear to participate in a halftime Teddy Bear Toss. All teddy bears will be donated to local Portage Country charities.
Lake Erie: School Field Trip Day – Flash’s Holiday Party (Dec. 19)
Our game against Lake Erie will be our annual local school Field Trip Day, with over 1,000 screaming students from local elementary schools bringing the party to the M.A.C. Center. School registration is required. For more information, contact [email protected]. Earplugs are encouraged!!!
La Roche: Kids Day – presented by the Future Flashes Kids Club (Dec. 30)
Looking for something fun to do while you are off from school? Kent State Women’s Basketball has you covered! Join us for Kids Day – presented by the Future Flashes Kids Club. The first 150 kids in attendance will go home with a Future Flashes Kids Club Mini Hoop!
Ohio: Welcome to #MACtion – Black Out (Jan. 6)
Fans are encouraged to wear black as the Flashes batten down the hatches for conference play. The first 500 fans in attendance will receive a custom Kent State #MACtion mini-flag.
Northern Illinois: Light up the M.A.C.C. (Jan. 14)
Let’s “Pack the MACC” for the team’s season debut on national TV and show the world why Golden Flashes Nation are the best fans in college basketball! Fans will receive glow sticks to help us and students will receive a cellphone ring light.
Toledo: Welcome Back Student Bash (Jan. 17)
A night of filled with fun activities and giveaways against the defending MAC champions is planned for the return of students to campus. Fans will receive an exclusive “Golden Flasher” t-shirt, an ode to one of our original mascots. There will also be a special halftime appearance by the Performance Dogs of Ohio.
Eastern Michigan: We Back Pat (Jan. 24)
Join the woman’s basketball community in celebrating the legacy of Pat Summit and raise awareness for Alzheimer’s disease in partnership with the Pat Summit Foundation. All fans are encouraged to wear purple to show their support.
Central Michigan: Play4Kay – HS Band Day (Feb. 3)
Join the woman’s basketball community to promote Breast Cancer Awareness in partnership with the Kay Yow Cancer Fund. All fans are encouraged to wear pink to show their support, and the first 150 students will receive an exclusive pink Barbie cowboy hat.
This game will also be our annual High School Band Day with local high school musicians joining the Flasher Brass to provide the soundtrack to the game.
Western Michigan: NGWSD – flaSHEs WILL (Feb. 7)
Join us in honoring the progress and continuing struggle for equality for women in sports. This game will also serve as our annual Camper Reunion game, as we invite all of offseason instructional camp participants back for a day of fun.
The next generation of female athletes will have an opportunity to meet the Flashes during a postgame autograph session.
Sun Belt Challenge vs. TBD: Unity Day (Feb. 10)
All Golden Flashes are invited to come together as one and celebrate unity. Help cheer the Golden Flashes on to victory and demonstrate how #FlashesTakeCareOfFlashes.
Akron: Gold Out (Feb. 24)
It’s rivalry day at the M.A.C. Center, and we need everyone to come out and support your Golden Flashes as we take on our foes from right down I-76. Giveaways include gold t-shirts and gold pom-poms.
Buffalo: Senior Day (March 2)
Join us in honoring our senior class for their contributions to our program.
Ball State: Fan Appreciation Night – Faculty/Staff Appreciation (March 6)
Fans can win great prizes, exclusive giveaways, and more as an exciting season at the M.A.C. Center comes to an end. Additionally, all Kent State University faculty and staff will receive free admission for themselves and one guest by presenting their FLASHcard.
Season Tickets
Fans can order season tickets now at KSUTix.com for as low as $60 per seat. Be sure to order prior to Nov. 1 to guarantee this year’s season ticket holder gift (one per account), a Kent State-branded bento-style lunchbox. Additional season ticket holder benefits include exclusive emails from Coach Starkey and a code to purchase additional single-game tickets at a reduced price.
Single-game tickets for non-conference games will be available for purchase on Wednesday, Nov. 1.
