Kevin Costner and Christine Baumgartner’s 18-Year Marriage Has Ended in Divorce

The 18-year marriage of Kevin Costner and Christine Baumgartner has ended.

In a statement sent to E! News, a person who works for Costner revealed the news.

The statement said, “It is with great sadness that circumstances beyond his control have transpired which have resulted in Mr. Costner having to participate in a dissolution of marriage action. We ask that his, Christine’s, and their children’s privacy be respected as they navigate this difficult time.”

Baumgartner and the Yellowstone star started dating in 1998, and they got married at the actor’s Colorado ranch in 2004. Both have two kids who are 14 and 15 years old, and a daughter, who is 12 years old.

TMZ got a copy of the divorce papers that The Bodyguard star Ben Affleck and Baumgartner filed. In the papers, they both asked for joint custody of their children.

The source said that in her filing, Costner’s wife said they broke up because they had “irreconcilable differences.” The actor said that there is “a prenuptial agreement in place.”

It’s important to note that this was Costner and the designer’s second marriage. Before marrying Baumgartner, the star married Cindy Silva from 1978 to 1994.
