Kevin Costner Wins a Lifetime Achievement Trophy at the Joy Awards SA

Kevin Costner received a lifetime achievement award in Saudi Arabia amid Emmy snubs for Yellowstone.

The famed actor, best known for his depiction of John Dutton III in the hit Western drama, expressed’sincere appreciation’ as he accepted the prestigious Joy Award for his extraordinary contributions to film and TV.

Despite Yellowstone’s repeated rejection by the Primetime Emmy Awards, Costner’s illustrious career was recognised on a global scale, marking yet another milestone for the Hollywood great.

The Hollywood icon posted dazzling photographs of the renowned Joy Award and thanked gratitude for the great hospitality in Riyadh.

In a tight field for outstanding main actor in a drama, Costner was overlooked once more, competing against triumphant succession stars and other renowned actors.

Yellowstone’s final episodes are scheduled to air in November 2024, and viewers learnt of Costner’s departure during the first half of season 5.

However, dedicated viewers can look forward to two new spin-off series, 1944 and a contemporary series titled 2024, which Paramount has approved, providing a silver lining for diehard Yellowstone fans.
